Vintage Tibetan Ceremonial Kapala Bowl
Tibetan Kapala Bowl (1920-1950)
This unusual piece is a modern day (1920-1950) Tibetan Kapala Bowl, unlike the earlier Kapala Bowls, which were real human skulls, this one is made of a light wood. lt is/was a common instruments used in Tibetan Buddhism pass.
The rim is brass adorned with embossed skulls. The exterior of the bowl is adorned with brass skulls and buddha's.and red coral is adhered. Underneath and inside are brass doors. Pictures are a large part of description.
